Matthew Wang is an attorney licensed to practice law in California. With over 9 years of experience representing public entities throughout the state, he has significant experience with advising staff and elected in land use matters and CEQA issues ranging from review of EIRs, public work projects, development agreements, school district territory transfers, and eminent domain.

Matt served as the primary advisor to a county planning commission and has extensive experience defending land use decisions of elected officials. He also has experience with surface water and groundwater issues, having assisted county staff with Sustainable Groundwater Management (SGMA) implementation and drafted agreements involving the Friant-Kern Canal. Finally, Matt has experience with public works and real estate issues and used this to draft development agreements in connection with major planning projects throughout California—including one to bring a children’s hospital to a historically underserved community.

Matt has also significant experience representing school districts. In particular, he drafted a construction agreement where a major clothing manufacturer and a professional sports team would donate funds to renovate and improve school district facilities. Furthermore, he has advised on issues ranging from censure of community college district officials to labor and employment.
