Carrie Mitchell is a Principal in the firm’s civil litigation and family law departments. She focuses her practice on general civil litigation with an emphasis in representation of public entities.

She is involved in all aspects of litigation and has substantial experience in defending government and public entities, as well as private sector clients, in a wide range of claims and lawsuits. Carrie has extensive experience in handling complex litigation matters, including dangerous condition allegations, civil rights violations, inverse condemnation, writs of mandate, personal injury, family law and employment litigation.
Prior to being admitted to practice, Carrie was a judicial extern for the U.S. District Court. Following her admission to practice, she worked for a general litigation firm emphasizing in insurance and public entity defense for over three years. Since joining the firm in 2006, Carrie has successfully defended a wide variety of cases in the federal and state courts through trial or summary judgment.
