Joshua Taylor | Senior Associate

After finding early success as an advocate in Teen Court, he started his college career as a “Price Scholar” at San Diego City College before going on to earn his Bachelors in English from San Diego State University in 2006, and Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in December of 2015. He graduated cum laude as a Dean’s Scholar and as a Senior Editor of the Thomas Jefferson Law Review.

Prior to joining the practice of law, Mr. Taylor worked as a community college classified professional for over 15 years, including service as an elected member of the classified senate, a union liaison, and on shared governance. After starting with the firm in 2017, Mr. Taylor’s practice has involved advising community college districts, school districts, charter schools, and district-affiliated research foundation clients on education law, employer-employee relations, employee disciplinary matters, and compliance with state and federal laws. Mr. Taylor has served as a chief negotiator in collective bargaining, factfinding representative in impasse proceedings, and has a winning record as an advocate in a number of hearings concerning grievances, discipline, labor disputes, and civil claims heard before the Public Employment Relations Board, the Office of Administrative Hearings, independent arbitrators, appellate and Superior Courts across the state.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the State Bar of California and the San Diego County Bar Association.
